Referencing Floating Time Periods
Time macros are “floating” references to day, month, week, and other date-related attribute values, relative to the present. The GoodData platform supports the following time macros:
These macros use the current time as specified by the workspace’s time zone when evaluating time periods. For more information, see Set a Custom Time Zone for Your Workspace.
Because time macros are values that belong to a date attribute, they inherit the granularity of the attribute with which they are associated. These macros are useful for creating reports that relate to data from “today” or “yesterday” or to data from “quarter-to-date” or “year-to-date” floating periods.
You can also use multiple time macros within the same metric definition.
