Schedule Automatic Emailing of KPI Dashboards

Users can schedule automatic emailing of KPI dashboards. GoodData then regularly sends the dashboard as an attached PDF file.

Configuring scheduled emails

  1. Open a KPI Dashboard for which you want to schedule emailing.
  2. Click the three dots icon in the top right corner.
  3. Click Schedule emailing.
  4. Fill in email addresses of recipients who will receive the regular messages. Your email address is always included.
    You can add recipients:

    • From the workspace - Their email addresses are suggested as you write.
If users have any filters defined, these filters are applied to the dashboard as well.

    • Other recipients - Your KPI Dashboards may contain sensitive data - make sure that the recipients are eligible to see them.

To disable recipients outside of the workspace, set the enableKPIDashboardScheduleRecipients platform setting to false. For details, see Configure Various Features via Platform Settings.

  5. (Optional) Customize the email subject and body.
By default, the subject includes the name of the dashboard and date it is sent.

  6. Configure the date and time of the first email.

  7. Set the repetition scheme.
GoodData can send the emails daily, weekly, monthly, or at a custom interval.

  8. Click Schedule .

From now on, all recipients will receive regular emails that include:

  • A link to display the dashboard on the GoodData Portal.
Recipients must log in to see the KPI dashboard.
  • An attachment with a PDF file with the KPI dashboard.
Recipients can download the file to their hard drive.
  • An Unsubscribe link.
Recipients can click Unsubscribe to stop receiving the scheduled emails.

Managing scheduled emails

To display all scheduled emails, go to the Manage section on the Emailing Dashboards tab in GoodData Portal.

To update the schedule, you must delete the current schedule in the Private Schedules Created on KPI Dashboards and create a new one.
