Getting Started with Redshift and GoodData

The GoodData platform is a cloud-based end-to-end analytics tool for capturing and loading data from numerous and diverse data sources and then enabling users to build metrics, create reports and dashboards.

Amazon Redshift is one of the supported data sources and you can easily integrate it into your GoodData workspace.

GoodData synchronizes data from Redshift based on a user-defined schedule and serves as the last-mile analytics platform. This way, users working with GoodData do not compute directly using Redshift resources.

The following diagram illustrates the concept of Redshift-GoodData integration. Your Redshift data is loaded by GoodData Analytical Data Distribution (ADD) into your workspace for processing based on your Logical Data Model (LDM). Then you will use the processed data to create insights.

The following tutorials will guide you through the process of completing Redshift-GoodData setup and using GoodData. To get familiar with the processes and user interface, we recommend that you start with loading our sample data first and then using them to build your first insights.

Load Sample Data from Redshift into GoodData

Integrate GoodData and your existing Redshift cluster, load our sample data from Redshift into your GoodData workspace, and create your first insights.

Load Your Own Redshift Data into GoodData Workspace

Integrate your Redshift cluster with a GoodData workspace and create a unique logical data model to work with your own data.

Invite Users to Your Workspace

The GoodData platform supports multiple user accounts which you can easily control for individual workspaces.
