Time Zones in Automated Data Distribution
When you are scheduling an ETL process for Automated Data Distribution (see Scheduling a Process), you can optionally add a 'timezone' parameter to the scheduled ETL process.
The 'timezone' parameter identifies the time zone that ADD will apply to the data records in the output stage that have a data type of either TIMETZ or TIMESTAMPTZ. Applying the time zone occurs during extracting data based on the ETL process being executed.
If the 'timezone' parameter is not set, ADD applies the default time zone, which is Europe/Prague
.
For information about the name formats and time zone processing, see the Vertica online documentation.
