Apply a GoodData Password Change to CloudConnect Designer
CloudConnect is a legacy tool and will be discontinued. We recommend that to prepare your data you use the GoodData data pipeline as described in Data Preparation and Distribution. For data modeling, see Data Modeling in GoodData to learn how to work with Logical Data Modeler.
Your GoodData password is used to connect to the GoodData Platform from any supported interface, including CloudConnect. If you have changed your GoodData platform password (see Password Policy) and you are using CloudConnect, apply the password change in CloudConnect.
Steps:
- Launch CloudConnect Designer.
- Do one of the following:
If you have previously used CloudConnect Designer, you are automatically logged in to the GoodData platform. From the Server menu, select Sign In as Different User… .
If you are not logged in to the platform, click the Server menu, and select Sign In… .
- Fill in the required information, and click Sign In. You are signed in to the platform and can continue using CloudConnect Designer. The application remembers your new credentials.
In addition to the GoodData Portal and CloudConnect Designer, your password is used to connect to the platform using REST APIs, gray pages, and potentially any scripts you use with the platform. If you have changed your GoodData Platform password and are using any of these other tools, you may need to apply the password change in them.
