Validating Your Data Model in CloudConnect
CloudConnect is a legacy tool and will be discontinued. We recommend that to prepare your data you use the GoodData data pipeline as described in Data Preparation and Distribution. For data modeling, see Data Modeling in GoodData to learn how to work with Logical Data Modeler.
Periodically, validate your data model to check for errors.
A logical data model with errors identified by validation in CloudConnect cannot be published to the GoodData Platform. Make small sets of changes and validate over small periods of time, so that you address potential issues while they are fresh in your mind.
Steps:
- In the Project Explorer tab, secondary-click the folder containing your LDM files. Typically, this folder is the model folder. Select Validate….
- Fix any errors listed in the dialog, and the warning messages.
