Publish One LDM to Multiple Projects in CloudConnect
CloudConnect is a legacy tool and will be discontinued. We recommend that to prepare your data you use the GoodData data pipeline as described in Data Preparation and Distribution. For data modeling, see Data Modeling in GoodData to learn how to work with Logical Data Modeler.
After you have published your LDM to one or more projects on the server, you must re-publish it to each affected project whenever you make changes to it. Otherwise, the changes are not applied to your GoodData project. Depending on the changes, however, the updates may cause cascading deletes of project objects, which are no longer valid in the updated model. For more information, see Managing LDM Dependencies in CloudConnect.
If the destination projects use an identical version of the LDM that you are authoring, you can simply publish the same LDM to destination GoodData projects.
This method publishes the logical data model to the destination project without changes. If changes are required to destination projects in the future, provide a copy of the LDM to destination CloudConnect projects, perform any required modifications to the LDM in CloudConnect Designer, and then publish to the destination projects. See Publish a Copy of Your LDM to Multiple Projects in CloudConnect.
This method utilizes the same basic method for publishing an LDM to a single project, except that you select a different project in the Choose a project window.
Before you publish, validate and save your LDM.
For more information, see Publish Your Logical Data Model in CloudConnect.
