Deleting a Data Model in CloudConnect
CloudConnect is a legacy tool and will be discontinued. We recommend that to prepare your data you use the GoodData data pipeline as described in Data Preparation and Distribution. For data modeling, see Data Modeling in GoodData to learn how to work with Logical Data Modeler.
Deleting a logical data model through CloudConnect removes it from your local CloudConnect project. However, the logical data model remains on any GoodData projects to which it had been previously published. If you deploy a new data model to your GoodData projects that were using the deleted one, the following happens:
- All objects associated with the old logical data model, including metrics, reports, and dashboards, are deleted.
- ETL jobs that utilize the old LDM fail on execution.
Before deleting an LDM, consider exporting it for safekeeping.
Steps:
- In the Project Explorer, select the project containing the logical data model you wish to delete.
- Open the model folder, and navigate to the *.ldm file that you want to remove.
- Secondary-click the file and select Delete…. Confirm the deletion. The logical data model is deleted.
