Creating a New Logical Data Model in CloudConnect
CloudConnect is a legacy tool and will be discontinued. We recommend that to prepare your data you use the GoodData data pipeline as described in Data Preparation and Distribution. For data modeling, see Data Modeling in GoodData to learn how to work with Logical Data Modeler.
Complete the following steps to create a new logical data model:
- In the Project Explorer tab, open the project to which you want to add a new logical data model.
- If you are creating a logical data model as part of a new CloudConnect project, create the CloudConnect project. From the CloudConnect menu, select File > New > CloudConnect Project…. See Loading Data Using CloudConnect.
- From the menu, select File > New > Logical Data Model. In the dialog, the folder location corresponds to the folder you selected.
- For the Title value, enter a name that is easy to associate with the project.
- Click Finish. The logical data model object is created in the selected folder and is opened in the Model Editor pane as a blank canvas.
