Adding LDM Date Object in Cloud Connect
CloudConnect is a legacy tool and will be discontinued. We recommend that to prepare your data you use the GoodData data pipeline as described in Data Preparation and Distribution. For data modeling, see Data Modeling in GoodData to learn how to work with Logical Data Modeler.
The Date object is a collection of attributes related to time-based measurements. This object contains the attributes to enable rollups for:
- Day
- Week
- Month
- Quarter
- Year
- Other time-based attributes. See Dates in Logical Data Models.
Through the Details sidebar, you can add Date objects into your logical data model. To add a Date dataset, click Add Date.
- To rename the dataset, select the object. Then, click its name. Enter the new name in the displayed textbox.
- To connect the dataset to an attribute in another dataset, hover the mouse over the left or right side of the Date icon. Click and drag the arrow that appears to connect it to the destination dataset. See Building Relations between Objects in CloudConnect Modeler.
When the Date object is selected, its properties are displayed in the Details sidebar. See Editing Date Dataset Properties in CloudConnect.
